CAS No. 428-59-1 Item No. 428-59-1
Name Hexafluoropropylene oxide
Name in Chinese 六氟环氧丙烷(HFPO)
Application Hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO) is the oxidation product of hexafluoropropylene. It is a colorless, non-flammable gas that readily liquefies under pressure. As an important intermediate in organic fluorine materials, it is used in the preparation of hexafluoroacetone, perfluoroisopropyl alcohol, fluorinated vinyl ethers (such as PPVE, PSVE, PEVE, PMVE), fluorinated surfactants, fluorinated ether oils, perfluorosulfonic acid resins, and various other fluorinated fine chemicals or polymers. It is widely used in key sectors such as chemicals, electronics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, automotive, and new energy. Perfluoropolyether oil is also an important downstream product of hexafluoropropylene oxide.
